The vinyl was replaced
with a "Pergo" floor with a ceramic tile landing was installed at the
back entry door. Insulation was added to the ceiling and exterior walls,
and the cedar shakes were removed from the wall.
The dark stained doors
and trims were refinished with a White Enamel. The owners chose a White
beadboard style cabinet with a Blue laminate countertop.
Beadboard with a
natural finish was used in several areas as well as to replace the cedar
shakes. The tile used in the backsplash has been custom painted, and had
been a gift to the family.
An exterior "grid" was
installed on the Kitchen window, adding a very "economical" detail to
the large window.
This remodel was
completed with the cooperation of both local trades people and Island
Hammer LLC Craftsman.
