Also included as part
of the remodel was the installation of a new gas fireplace. This
fireplace was finished with "real river rock" on the face. Western Blue
Slate was place on the floor as a hearth, and the mantle was completed
using a recycled "Southern Yellow Pine" beam from a dismantled
warehouse.
A new "walk-in closet"
was added to the second floor Master Bedroom Suite, as well as an
"exercise room" complete with an opening "roof window" to allow a view
of Apple Tree Cove while staying in shape.
The main focus of the
exterior is a 900 square foot 2 level Chinese Slate Patio complete with
radiant heaters installed in the overhead to allow for this area facing
the Bay to used during all 4 Seasons.
We wish to acknowledge
the support and patience of the owners during this remodel, as well as
Rick Anderson, Architect for his accurate and productive plans and
drawings for this project.
